Sandblasting/ Etching Machine
Glass fabrication by sandblasting/etching machines refers to specialized machines used in the processes of abrasive blasting, which give the glass surfaces a frosted, textured, or decorative design. This machine utilizes compressed air with high pressure to push fine abrasive materials-sand or aluminum oxide-onto the glass to etch it and create various patterns and finishes.
How It Works
- Abrasive Blasting: The equipment employs compressed air to push abrasive particles against the glass surface. The high-speed impact eliminates a thin layer of glass, resulting in a rough, frosted, or etched texture.
- Stencils and masks: These are used to produce specific designs or patterns on the glass surface before undergoing sandblasting. The masked regions are covered, while the exposed sections are etched, producing precise and detailed patterns.
- Controlled Depth: By regulating the sandblasting pressure, distance, and duration, you may control the depth and intensity of the etching. This enables for shallow and deep etching effects.
